Position title: Programmer python/scikit-learn – graph similarity library
Location: Data Science and Mining group, LIX, @ Ecole Polytechnique, France
When: September 1st 2017 – duration: 12-15 months with very good remuneration

Description:
Graph similarity is becoming an increasingly important topic in Machine learning for large scale applications including social networks, biomedical data, text mining, chemical data etc. The objective of the project is the development of a wealth of graph kernels and the creation of a “Graph similarity” library to be included in the scikit-learn framework. The ideal candidate will develop software tools for graph comparison following the coding guidelines of the scikit-learn project. This work has, apart from the programming part, a certain academic flavor and can be a prelude to a further collaboration with the lab.
Required skills: a. a Master (Bac+4) in Applied Math, Computer Science or Engineering; b. good understanding of graph algorithms and kernels; c. experience in python, c/c++ programming; d. understanding of the scikit-learn framework; e. understanding of code versioning tools (e.g. Git, SVN).

Desired skills: a. ability to write reusable libraries; b. solid understanding of the entire software development lifecycle; c. ability to work independently; d. good communication skills; e. good knowledge of English language.
