Ύπαρχουν νύχτες που τ' αστέρια φωλιάζουν στο σκοτάδι ακόμα.
Υπάρχουν δαίμονες με τη ψυχή στο στόμα.
Υπάρχουν τρόποι χιλιάδες ν' αγιάσεις αν το θες
κάπου δίπλα σε σκουλήκια και αιώνιους ξενιστές.
Υπάρχει χθες· το ζήσαμε και το θυμόμαστε όλοι.
Τις ευχές και τις κατάρες, τις φτιάξαμε μπόλι.
Υπάρχουν μύθοι του βάλτου που ταξιδέψανε μακριά κι ανταμώσαν
μ' άλλες φωτιές και φόβους φιλιώσαν.
Δε κακιώσαν, στιγμή δε προδώσαν, ματώσαν,
όσων είπαν και ακούσαν, το βάρος σηκώσαν.
Παντού απλώσαν αυτό που σου φταίει και σε τρώει,
λόγο αρθρώσαν και πετάξανε μπόι.
Γίνανε κόκκινη αρμάδα κόντρα στον εφησυχασμό σου.
Βούλωσέ το και κατάπιε το σκασμό σου.
Στον καιρό σου σωριάζονται οι φόβοι
κι αδειάζουν οι τόποι και τραγούδια σαν αυτά θεωρούνται τσάμπα κόποι.

και μέσα τους το πιο όμορφο υπάρχει ακόμα.

Τι κι αν γεννήθηκαν σκουλήκια από τα πιο όμορφα λόγια,
μείνανε άλλα που φτιάχνουνε λέξεις μετάξι.
Τι κι αν γέμισαν φυλλάδες τα φανφάρικα σόγια,
κάποιοι τρελοί γράφουν για μας κι είναι εντάξει.
Τι κι αν ποτίσανε με μίσος τη ψυχή τους οι βλάκες·
χωρίς τα χέρια μας να θάψουνε φίδια στο χώμα,
η φωτιά υπάρχει ακόμα.

Τι κι αν σπάσαμε τον κώδικα και βρήκαμε το μήνυμα
πολλοί τ' ακούσαν, λίγοι καταλάβαν.
Τι κι αν δειλιάσαν οι μισοί μπροστά στο τίμημα,
υπήρξαν άλλοι που τα ωραία μεταλάβαν.
Γι' αυτούς υπάρχω και για όσους θα έρθουν.
Φτιάχνω οκτάγωνο με πορφυρένιο χρώμα,
γιατί η φωτιά με καίει ακόμα.

Σου 'χω μια όμορφη λύση: τράβα και πέθανε πιο πέρα,
με βρώμικο αέρα και με τον άγιο που θέλει φοβέρα.
Φτιάξτε αμόλυντα μέρη για να κουρνιάσετε γέροι
να μη σας φτάνει του αλήτη το χέρι.
Κι αν δε σ' ακούγεται ωραίο, εμένα ωραίο μου κάνει.
καθένας πλέκει τις στιγμές του στεφάνι.
Άλλος το βάζει όλο χαρά στο κεφάλι του πάνω
κι άλλος τ' αφήνει στο τάφο του πάνω.
Τα χάνω! Ξανακυλάω στα ίδια·
το χέρι βάζω και σε ψάχνω στα σκουπίδια.
Είσαι σε πλήρη αποσύνθεση, βρωμάς σαν ψοφίμι,
εσύ που ήθελες τον κόσμο φτιαγμένο από ασήμι,
βολέψου τώρα στη βρωμιά και στη σαπίλα.
Κάνε φωνή τη πιο μεγάλη σου ξεφτίλα.
Δε σε λυτρώνω, καημένε, απ' την κατάντια σου.
