Dear members of the Academic Committee, I am pleased to announce the 11th edition of the European Ph.D. School: Power Electronics in Electrical Machine and Energy Control. The Ph.D. School will be held in the town of Brixen, in northern Italy from March 22-26, 2010. The School, which was founded in 1999, has become fully European this year, thanks to the support of the European Commission.
This year guest lecturers will include:
-          Prof. Dr. B.K. Bose, University of Tennessee, USA
-          Dr. Enrico Busto, The Mathworks™
-          Dr. Andreas Falk, SMA, Solar Technology AG
Chair of the Ph.D. School is Prof. Ciro Attaianese, Rector of the University of Cassino
Detailed information about the program, the venue, enrolment fee, and application procedures can be found on the official web site of the School: www.phd-school.org
All seminars, lectures, and activities will be held in English. Ph.D. students in the fields of Power Electronics and Electrical Systems are welcome to apply. Applications of Ph.D. students in other Engineering fields will be considered. Applications must be submitted electronically by March 14, 2010.
