There is an opening for two PhD studentships in the Communications and Networks group at the School of Computer Science and Electronic Engineering at the University of Essex. The positions are fully funded (stipend & tuition). Should you be interested in working in the area of machine learning for communications, you are encouraged to contact Dr. Nikolaos Thomos. Successful candidates are expected to start their PhDs in April 2018.

Students at the BSc or MSc level with background in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, or Applied Mathematics are encouraged to apply. Above all, the applicants must be self‐motivated, learn quickly and work effectively on challenging research problems.
