We are building a global company by creating a new system that will change the way people move in their cities, and the transportation industry in general. To achieve this, we need top level professionals, in love with their job.

We are looking to hire an Android developer who every day discovers a new way to make magic with his/her code. Looking for someone that will show us new ways stuff is done with software.

You'll need to start building on Android apps that use real time data, connecting with our RESTfull API web services, and make use a lot of the Google Maps API.

 

Requirements

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

1-2  years of experience in Android SDK with at least one published application on Google Play (if not any links to apps you have been part of).
Excellent Java skills and development in Eclipse IDE.
In-depth knowledge of the capabilities & limitations of Android mobile devices and how to scale Android UI across multiple devices.
Development and maintenance applications supporting Android 2.2 and above.
Proficient in JSON web service APIs.
Experience in developing custom Android widgets/views.
Knowledge of GIT versioning system.
A solid knowledge of techniques/APIs such as: UI development using Fragments, Multithreaded programming on Android (Loaders, AsyncTasks etc), Services etc.
Experience with third-party libraries and APIs (Facebook API etc).

Considered as a plus

Working experience in SQLite.
Experience in Google Maps API v2.
Any experience in Unit testing for Android.
Hands on experience with Maven.
Experience in developing for other platforms.

Personal Characteristics

Good problem solving and communications skills.
Excellent debugging skills.
Friendly, enthusiastic and positive attitude.
Self-motivated & ability to effectively achieve deadlines.
