17 Hippies is a band from Berlin, Germany, playing largely on acoustic instruments.
His music, which comes from a confluence of various types of folklore, is played with great style and energy.
His influences are issues Belgian, Polish, Greeks, Serbs and Germans.
Founded in 1995 in Berlin by Christopher Blenkinsop, have played more t
han a hundred concerts, mainly in Germany and France, with frequent

performances in Switzerland, Hungary, Belgium, Holland, Czech Republic, Austria,
Spain, Russia and Japan. His live performances in the United States are limited to a few concerts in Austin,
 and Great Britain, one in London in 2005.
In Great Britain are possibly best known for the soundtrack of the German film Halbe Treppe,
which in 2002 came out with the English name of Grill Point.
The origin of its name is unknown even to themselves: No one knows exactly why or why hippies 17.
