Effie Bastounis is an engineer working on the interface of engineering and life sciences. Both offered positions are collaborative and funded by grants secured by Dr Bastounis.
The PhD position is in collaboration with a mechanical engineer at TU Braunschweig who will build a cell stretching device.
The PostDoc position is in collaboration with Peter Loskill that builds organs on chip (he is based in Tuebingen) and the postdoc will belong to both teams (but will be officially hired in Effie Bastounis' lab).
