Within the HyperWorks suite, Altair® Flux® provides low-frequency electromagnetic simulation solutions and offers innovative tools for designers of electric motors, transformers, sensors, and actuators. Your mission We are looking for an engineer to strengthen our team of application engineers focused on finite element modeling of electromagnetic aspects. They will be integrated into a development team consisting of developers and application engineers with the goal of refining the physical models and the computation performance in the Altair® Flux® software, as well as setting up coupling between the Altair® Flux® software and other Altair software. The role will primarily involve activities related to specification, validation, and documentation. In this context, as an application engineer, you will: • Propose and critically evaluate ways to improve/add models in Altair® Flux® • Communicate with support teams or directly with customers to gather and adjust needs • Communicate with other Altair teams internationally • Work with agile methods and interact directly with members of the development and application engineer team • Interact with other agile teams in Altair® Flux® • Validate ongoing developments within the team • Write user documentation on new features in the XML DITA format • Perform deployment tasks at the time of version delivery Profile: • You have a background or experience in electromagnetism • You are proactive and rigorous • You have the ability to understand physical models • You have knowledge of simulation tools and finite element method • You have the ability to write in English and are familiar with Oxygen XML Editor and the DITA format • You have good team working and leadership skills • You have good communication skills • Ideally, you have an engineering degree in electrical engineering, ideally in electrotechnics • Proficient in technical English is essential for this position.
