Title: Fully funded PhD positions, School of Computer Science University of Manchester Post by: Leo_Paranoid on October 09, 2017, 15:34:51 pm Two, fully funded, PhD positions are presently open in the School of Computer Science in the Advanced Processor Technologies group at the University of Manchester. These positions relate to a multi-partner European H2020 project in the area of High Performance Computing, which aims to unprecedentedly increase the computational power of today’s high performance computers. These posts offer, therefore, the opportunity to be part of this ambitious, yet pragmatic research effort towards Exascale computing working with a diverse and enthusiastic team of software developers, computer architects, and chip designers. The appointed students for both positions will be involved in chip design and silicon measurements at an advanced technology node. For informal questions, please contact the PhD project supervisor: Dr Vasilis Pavlidis (pavlidis@cs.man.ac.uk)
