εδώ θα γράφουμε τις δυσκολίες καθώς και αξιοσημείωτα γεγονότα  που συναντήσαμε από την εγκατάσταση μέχρι σήμερα..

αναφέρομαι στο aptosid 64-bit xfce

λοιπόν η εγκατάσταση μου πήρε 10 λεπτά.. από το bootάρισμα του live cd μέχρι το τέλος

edit : επίσης πριν από την εγκατάσταση με προειδοποίησε :

μόλις έκανα login ρύθμισα την επιλογή γλώσσας από την taskbar του xfce

μετά κατέβασα το flush-plugin από την adobe :

και έκανα extract αυτό που κατέβασα και αντέγραψα το αρχείο libflashplayer.so στον κατάλογο /usr/lib64/mozilla/plugins


τέλος να αναφέρω ότι το bootάρισμα ήταν υπερβολικά γρήγορο!!!

θα μετρήσω κάποια άλλη φορά και θα αναφέρω.


Α! επίσης τα πακέτα που εγκαθιστούνται είναι αυτά ακριβώς που εμφανίζονται και στο live cd.

δεν έβρισκα τον nano στην κονσόλα..

και δεν έβρισκα κάποιον editor στο γραφικό.. εκτός από το abiword, το οποίο δεν θεωρώ editor και θα πάρει πόδι..

βασικά έχει vim για την κονσόλα.. αλλά ποτέ δεν την πάλεψα με τον vi..

για τους παραπάνω λόγους.. ως root :

apt-get install nano

23 δεύτερα το bootάρισμα από την επιλογή στο grub.. μέχρι και το autologin στο xfce.. με το xfce έτοιμο χωρίς να φορτώνει! :D

λοιπόν..

έκανα πολλές φορές μέχρι σήμερα dist-upgrade με απόλυτη επιτυχία..

η σταθερότητά του είναι άψογη

aptosid is made up of 2 words, Firstly apto which is a Latin word which means to fit, adapt, adjust, make ready, or fit. The second word is sid and is the codename of Debian's unstable branch.

σου προτείνω ανεπιφύλακτα να κάνεις την δοκιμή..

είναι υπερβολικά ψαγμένο.. οι υπεύθυνοι του project.. πρέπει να ξέρουν τι παίζει, τουλάχιστον για τα πλέον χρησιμοποιούμενα πακέτα.. τόσο καλά.. όσο και αυτοί που τα φτιάχνουν - δεν εξηγείται αλλιώς! :D

έχω βάλει xfce και όλα πάνε σφαίρα..

σήμερα έβαλα το lm-sensors και hddtemp.. για να βλέπω θερμοκρασίες επεξεργαστή και σκληρού μέσω applet

κάνεις ως root

sensors-detect

και στο τέλος γράφεις στο /etc/modules τα απαραίτητα modules.. που πρέπει να φορτώνονται κατά το boot

κάνεις στην taskbar add το αντίστοιχο applet.. και είσαι ok!

επίσης επειδή το hddtemp τρέχει εξ' ορισμού μόνο ως root.. το applet σου βγάζει μήνυμα ότι πρέπει να κάνεις (το αναφέρει ως dirty solution :D :D :D) :

chmod u+s /usr/sbin/hddtemp




έκανα και σήμερα dist-upgrade.. και όλα ok! :)


επίσης μια μικρή απογοήτευση με τα φόντα έφαγα στην αρχή.. αλλά με λίγη βοήθεια από την μαμά M$.. ::) και ένα φακελάκι ~/.fonts

και τα πράγματα καλυτέρεψαν..

επίσης στο ίδιο θέμα έκανα (ως root) και

dpkg-reconfigure fontconfig-config

τέλος μπορεί στο kde να είναι πολύ καλύτερα και πιο εύκολα τα πράγματα για τα φόντα.. γιατί το kde έχει και δικά του εργαλεία.

υπάρχει πακέτο ttf-mscorefonts-installer.. αλλά γιατί να μην βάλεις όλα τα ttf φόντα που έχεις στα win.. :P


γενικά το aptosid.. δεν είναι κάποια διανομή.. είναι το debian sid.. με κάποια script αυτών που το έβγαλαν..

δηλ. απ' ότι κατάλαβα.. θα μπορούσε ένας πολύ ψαγμένος χρήστης να έχει το debian sid.. και να γράψει κάποια script για να μην του σπάνε συνέχεια πακέτα.. ή να κάνει την ζωή του σχετικά εύκολη όσον αφορά τις καθημερινές ασχολίες.. κάτι τέτοιο είναι το aptosid! :)

wireless και bluetooth.. δουλεύουν χωρίς ρυθμίσεις

το σημαντικότερο είναι πως θα δουλεύουν πάντα..

όχι όπως την "αξιοπιστία" του ubuntu ;)

dist-upgrade με επιτυχία..

και..

το πακέτο nvidia-kernel-dkms τα σπάαει! :)
